This area is marked by the interspersion of state-of-the-art medical facilities, like the Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF) and buildings that represent the very beginnings of the campus, like the Medical Education Building.
Further planning includes study of new buildings and renewal of existing buildings. The master plan has extended the Health Sciences Campus across Highway 6 to include the International Center site for the new College of Public Health building.
The Health Sciences Campus is one that has seen the most dramatic change in recent years with the addition of new buildings, and new pedestrian thoroughfares and open space.
