Physical Development Analysis Subcommittee & Charter
The Physical Development Analysis Subcommittee is to assist the Capital Project Review Committee and the originating department / college by conducting a detailed review of design issues related to the proposed project. It will coordinate review and analysis of proposed capital projects with Facilities Management staff, the Campus Planning Committee, and external advisory consultants. The following are among the considerations to be reviewed:

Evaluation of proposed project in context with the Campus Master Plan

Review of the space needs analysis and program for the facility

Reprogramming or re-justification of space vacated as a result of the project

Review of architectural design and compatibility with campus environment

Review of scope for compliance with institutional and stakeholder requirements

Review compliance with physical accessibility requirements.

Analysis of appropriate and effective land use and site selection

Review of impact on the surrounding communities

Testing of initial project design and construction cost projections or assumptions

An assessment of relevant campus infrastructure issues (e.g. utilities, information technology, roads).
