The University of Iowa Presents:

Parking

For your convenience, there are six major City of Iowa City Parking facilities in the area surrounding the Expo location. These are:

• Dubuque Street Ramp (next to Sheraton Hotel on Dubuque and Burlington Streets) Two Entrances: Dubuque Street and Linn Street.

• Capitol Street Ramp (next to Old Capitol Town Center mall) Two entrances: Clinton Street and Capitol Street.

• Court Street Ramp (one block south of Sheraton on Dubuque and Court Streets – located in the Court Street Transportation Center)

• Tower Place Ramp ( two blocks north and one block east of Sheraton Hotel – located at Iowa Avenue and Linn Street)

• Chauncey Swan Ramp (three blocks east and one block north of Sheraton Hotel – located at College and Gilbert Streets)

• Rec Center Lot (two blocks east of Sheraton Hotel at Gilbert and Burlington Streets.) Metered surface lot.

The Court Street Ramp is unattended and prepaid by coins, cash, Visa or MasterCharge. Chauncey Swan Ramp is unattended and prepaid, $.60 per hour. These are unattended, automated pay ramps. Immediately after parking, observe space number painted on stall. Proceed to pay station (located in stairwells) and pay in advance, just like you would a parking meter. Do not walk out of the garage without pre-paying.

All other ramps are attended and gated, paid by cash upon exit, approximately $6.00 for the day, or $.75 per hour.

The most likely ramps to fill up first are Dubuque Street Ramp and Capitol Street Ramp. Please plan to arrive early for parking spots in these ramps. On-street parking is first-come-first-serve, at $.75 per hour; check for hour limitations in all locations. Short term meters (1-2 hours) are concentrated in the downtown area. The University of Iowa Campus Parking facilities are a bit farther from the Expo locations, and within a five minute walk.

• The Iowa Memorial Union Ramp (four blocks north and one block west of Old Capitol Town Center mall)
• The North Campus Parking Ramp (six blocks north and one block west of Old Capitol Town Center mall)

Buses may drop travelers off at the entrance of Old Capitol Town Center mall on Clinton Street and park in the barricaded area of Surface Lot # 36 (east half) located on South Dubuque Street, five blocks south of the Sheraton Hotel.
