Construct Chilled Water River Crossing

Iowa River Crossing

View Live Image

Scope: Link the east and west campus chilled water distribution systems currently separated by the Iowa River. The project is needed to satisfy the increased need for chilled water on the east side of campus from recent building remodels, acquisitions, and new building projects. Chilled water is used for cooling buildings.

Description: Install a pair of 36" chilled water lines (supply and return) connecting into the existing west campus distribution system. The alignment will run south of the existing CRANDIC railway. The alignment on the east side of the river will remain north of Iowa Avenue and connect into the existing east campus distribution system at Madison Street.
