Facilities Operations - Oakdale

The University of Iowa officially transferred management of its utility system to ENGIE North America on March 11, 2020. The 50-year partnership with ENGIE and Meridiam will help fund and support the University's strategic plan and core missions of teaching, research, and scholarship. More information is available here. Facilities Operations - Oakdale is an integrated facilities operation at the UI Research Park/Oakdale Campus providing utilities production, building maintenance and landscape services.

​In March 2020, management of the Oakdale power plant officially moved to ENGIE as part of the 50-year public-private partnership. Operations of the UI utility system, including the Oakdale power plant, are now overseen by the University of Iowa Energy Collaborative which includes representatives from ENGIE, Meridiam, and the University of Iowa.
