Achievements:
- As a student (B.S.C.) he worked as an Offset Pressman for the Daily Iowan
- After graduation, Mossman remained in the service of the University for 62 years in many capacities
- At the time of his retirement in 1985, Mossman was Business Manager and Treasurer of the University of Iowa
- In 1998, the UI expressed its appreciation for his exemplary leadership devotion and commitment to service by renaming the consolidated Business Services Building in Mossman's honor

A 78,360 square-foot building housing UI Printing and Mailing Services, Copy Center Services, Surplus, General Stores and Central Receiving. Formerly known as the consolidated Business Services Building.
